Vaginal Tightening<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Vaginal tightening is both a functional and aesthetic treatment method that we perform to restore the vaginal tissue that has lost its tightness to its former tight and elastic state. It is a method generally preferred by women who have had a vaginal birth and have lost vaginal elasticity during childbirth or whose vaginal tissue is genetically susceptible to stretching. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Surgical or non-surgical methods can be used in vaginal tightening treatment. For our patients who prefer non-surgical treatment, the MonaLisa Touch<\/a><\/strong> laser device and one or both of the carbon dioxide laser and radiofrequency laser<\/strong> methods are recommended in our clinic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Laser or Surgery for Vaginal Tightening?<\/h2><\/div>\n\n\n\n

There are several criteria we consider when deciding on the treatment method (whether the laser is sufficient or the surgery is required) for patients who come with a request for vaginal tightening. In the determination of the method; the patient’s expectation at the end of the treatment and in the recovery process after the procedure plays a critical role. Moreover, we should take into consideration the time she can allocate to the treatment and her availability to attend repeated sessions. Lastly and most importantly, it is crucial if the patient has accompanying disorders in her preliminary examination. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vaginal Tightening With Surgery<\/h4><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

In patients with pelvic floor disorders, concomitant stress urinary incontinence, bladder prolapse (cystocele), and prolapsed stoma, surgery is considered at the forefront regardless of patient preference. In addition, considering patient expectations, surgical treatment is recommended for patients who want to get permanent results in a short time and who cannot come to multiple sessions. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Vaginal Tightening With Laser<\/h4><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Especially in our patients who have busy lives, who are afraid of surgery or do not want to receive anesthesia, who will not have problems participating in repeated sessions or want to return to their normal life immediately after the procedure, if the pelvic floor disorder is not serious, treatment with laser is considered first. How Does the Process of Vaginal Tightening with Surgery Proceed? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Before Operation<\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Our patients who come with a request for vaginal tightening are first listened to in detail. Then we examine them, perform an ultrasound, and check the pelvic floor. In addition to vaginal tightening operations, urinary incontinence, upper wall defect (cystocele) repair, posterior wall defect (rectocele) repair, and perinoplasty operations can be included in the plan.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

While The Patients Are In Hospital<\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The patient, who is prepared for anesthesia the day before the surgery, comes to the hospital hungry on the day of surgery and is admitted. The operation is usually performed in the operating room under general anesthesia, in some cases under spinal anesthesia. On average it takes one to one and a half hours. It is usually a low-risk operation for an experienced surgeon. The patient is mobilized on average four to six hours after the end of the surgery and is discharged the same day when she feels well. It is an operation that usually does not cause serious pain. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Recovery Process<\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The patient returns to her daily life with some restrictions upon discharge. Since the stitches take an average of fourty days to fully fuse, they should avoid sexual intercourse and use of wet areas such as pools, seas, and spas during this period. There is no need for any stitches or especially a dressing. It is enough to use the prescribed medication and keep the area dry and clean.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Vaginal Tightening with Laser Treatment<\/h2><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The patient who will undergo vaginal tightening with laser should have a negative SMEAR test performed within the last year, should not be in the menstrual period, and should not have an active infection. No preliminary preparation and anesthesia is required before the procedure. The procedure is performed with MonaLisa Touch laser device<\/strong> that we use in our clinic, using the methods of carbon dioxide laser, radiofrequency laser, or a combination of both. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Depending on the patient’s needs, usually, one to three sessions are performed in the interval of four to six weeks. It takes an average of ten minutes and no pain is felt. After the procedure, the patient immediately returns to her normal life<\/strong> and does not need any extra care. Four to five days of avoiding sexual intercourse and restriction of using wet areas is sufficient.
